Why this recipe works

Cooking an Italian dinner is a great way to cook for a lot of people easily. Italian food is just that way – it makes a lot, it’s affordable, and it’s hard to screw it up. Case in point is my Lazy Lasagna. Just add some veggies, salad, my Tiramisu Cupcakes, and this garlic bread, and you have yourself a meal you can serve to 100 people.

This recipe works because E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E loves garlic bread and my recipe is fantastically easy. That’s it. That’s the tweet.

About the ingredients

This post is not sponsored by any brand, but I am calling out a specific brand, Kerrygold Garlic and Herb butter because it is key to this recipe. Then we just add more garlic and spread on bread.

Kerrygold garlic and herb butter is sold in single sticks, and I use 1 stick of butter and 1 clove garlic per long baguette of bread. This keeps the math super easy to amp this up and make yummy buttery garlic bread for tons of people.

How to keep garlic bread warm

I wait to cut the bread into portions after it is cooked. This keeps prep easier to begin with. Once the bread (long baguette loaves cut in half longways) is cooked, I then cut into ~2-1/2-inch portions.

Pile the portions into pans, such as disposable aluminum half pans, cover with foil to keep the bread from drying out, and keep bread warm in a 150-degree F oven.

How much bread per person?

My grocery store baguette is about 26-inches long. One baguette is sufficient for 10 people, at two pieces per person after slicing into approximately 2-1/2-inch pieces.
